| About College: |
The Tamilnadu Private Professional Colleges Association - Health Sciences is a consortium of private health sciences institutions in Tamilnadu affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai. The Association is registered under the Tamilnadu Societies Act 1975 and the Registration Number is SL.No.175/2004.
OBJECTIVES
· To enlist the Participation off all private professional institutions affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University imparting education in Health Sciences (Medical, Dental, Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Medical laboratory Technology, Medical Record Sciences etc..).
· To ensure cordial relationship, communication and co-operation between member institutions for effective sharing of resources towards enhancing the quality of teaching and training offered by them
· To promote inter-disciplinary research among member institutions, and facilitate co-ordination between industries, research laboratories and institutions of eminence in health sciences
· To establish standard of quality in education, research and health care by monitoring and counselling for improving various services in the member institutions
· To provide for instruction and training for the advancement of and dissemination of knowledge by enrollment of educationists of eminenance to deliver guest lectures on a regular basis and to facilitate resource sharing from amongst the member institutions
· To offer counselling to member institutions for pooling of resources for effecting the reduction of cost of education
· To provide and ensure student friendly protocol system in admission to member institutions based on merit and in a transparent and rational manner
· To promote community service by member institutions to satisfy the needs relevant to the local area and encourage the students to actively propogate the national health programmes according to the course of study.
· To promote seminars, workshops, conferences, continuing medical education programmes among the member institutions to update knowledge
· To promote and nurture Tamil development in the field of health sciences
· To facilitate creation of endowments, awards, visitorships, fellowships, exhibits, prizes and medals in the member institutions and university
· To promote publication of an association journal to share news items and scientific publications. |

Candidates should possess a B.Pharm degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or any other university recognized as equivalent thereto by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University/Pharmacy Council
Candidates who have qualified from other universities should obtain and produce an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical university at the time of admission
Candidates seeking admission to the Postgraduate M.Pharm degree course should have obtained not less than 50% of the total marks obtained in all semester subject marks taken together in the B.Pharm degree course
In case of failures the pass marks in the subsequent (attempts) shall be taken for calculation purpose
Number of attempts are not considered for calculation of marks

Þ Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology. Or Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
2. Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations with same group of subjects should submit an Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University before admission to any institution for the course of their choice.
Age Limit: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years. For BSc (Nursing) course – the maximum age is 30 years. For SC/SCA/ST candidates, maximum age raised to 35 years. Evidences should be produced.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to the various courses offered in institutions shall be as prescribed by the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
Method of Selection: Ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different boards will be taken into account after normalization.

(Complete details are available in our “INFORMATION BROCHURE”) Candidates using the downloaded application form shall send Rs. 700/- Demand Draft along with application. The amount should be sent by an “A/c Payee” Crossed Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of “TNPPCA-HS” payable at Chennai”.

b. Xerox copy of the qualifying examination (+2) mark sheet duly attested.
c. A passport size photograph of the candidate is to be affixed in the application form.
d. Declaration form duly signed by the candidate and their Parent/Guardian without fail.

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) in Tamil Nadu Private Professional Colleges Association Health Sciences, TNPPCAHS, Chennai
1. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamilnadu State Board or any other equivalent examination with following group of subjects.
Þ Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology. Or Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
2. Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations with same group of subjects should submit an Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University before admission to any institution for the course of their choice.
Age Limit: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2009. For BSc (Nursing) course – the maximum age is 30 years as on 31st December 2009. For SC/SCA/ST candidates, maximum age raised to 35 years. Evidences should be produced.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to the various courses offered in institutions shall be as prescribed by the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
Method of Selection: Ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different boards will be taken into account after normalization.
Duration of the Courses: As prescribed by the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University for each course mentioned in item 4.
Method of Admission: Admission will be made by member institutions on the basis of rank list prepared by the Consortium.
