Guru Jambheswar University of Science and Technology (GJUST)

The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, was established on October 20, 1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives ‘to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields’. It was formally inaugurated on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the university and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the university is soon going to be changed as Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology. The same can also be obtained by post from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Guru Jambheshwar  University of Science and Technology, Hisar-125001 upto 20.06.2009 by sending Demand Draft of Rs.850/- (Rs.250/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of Registrar, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar payable at Hisar. Application form and other details are also available on the University www.gju.ernet.in. Such candidates must attach a Bank Draft of Rs.800/- (Rs.200/' in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana) drawn on any scheduled bank in favour of the Registrar, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar payable at Hisar. Applications, complete in all respect, must reach the Chairperson of the Department concerned by 29.06.2009 upto 5.00 P.M. Incomplete applications or those received after the last date shall not be entertained
