Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE has extended the application deadline for Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET 2017). Aspirants can now apply online for the entrance examination till March 21, 2017 without late fee.
Candidates can apply online here. The registration fee for Engineering and Agriculture stream is Rs. 450/- which is to be paid separately through AP online or credit card/ debit card or net banking. Candidates interested in applying for both streams need to pay a registration fee of Rs. 900/- .The last date for submission of online applications with late fee of Rs. 500/- is March 26, 2017. Candidates who have already submitted the online application can correct the data fromMarch 28, 2017 to April 03, 2017.
About EAMCET 2017:
The EAMCET 2017 acts as a prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The programs offered are Engineering, Bio-Technology, B.Tech (Diary Technology), B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology), B.Sc. (Ag)/ B.Sc (Horticulture)/ B.VSc. & A.H/B.FSc, B. Pharmacy and Pharma.D. This year, AP EAMCET for Engineering will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 and Thursday, April 27, 2017 and AP EAMCET for Agriculture will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2017.
Who can apply for EAMCET 2017?
Candidates who belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana are eligible to apply.
For engineering programs, candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.
Candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional are eligible to apply for the examination for B.Pharm program.
Structure of EAMCET 2017:
For Engineering Programs: The entrance test is of 3-hour duration and the question paper consists of total 160 questions comprising of 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. The syllabus includes Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For Other Programs: The entrance test is of 3-hour duration and the question paper consists of a total 160 questions comprising of a total of 80 questions in Biology (Botany - 40, Zoology – 40), 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. The syllabus includes Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
All questions are objective type (multiple choices) only and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking and no deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question.
For candidates to familiarize with the computer-based examination, the provision of mock test will be made available on the website shortly. The rank obtained in AP EAMCET-2017 is valid for admission to the courses for the academic year 2017-18 only.
