National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NILU) BA LLB (Hons) Entrance Test-2007

The Entrance Test for admission to B.A.LL.B (Hons.) Course of National Law Institute University,

Bhopal for the academic session 2007-08 conducted by the Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM), Bhopal on 06.05.2007 has been cancelled due to unavoidable reasons and will now be re-conducted on 29.05.2007 from 10.00 AM to 12.15 PM.

Only those candidates who appeared in the examination conducted on 06.05.2007 can appear in the examination on 29.05.2007.

Test Admit Cards (TAC) issued for the test held on 06.05.2007 will be valid for the test to be held on 29.05.2007.

The examination cities and centers of the candidates will remain the same.

 

The candidates who appeared in the earlier examination on the basis of Provisional TAC were asked to furnish the requisite documents by 08.05.2007. The list of such candidates who did not submit these documents in time will be placed on the website www.mp.nic.in/vyapam. These candidates will have to submit the requisite information/documents to VYAPAM, Bhopal latest by 23.05.2007 alongwith a Bank Draft of Rs.100/- in favour of Professional Examination Board, Bhopal failing which their candidature will be cancelled and they will not be
permitted to appear in the examination on 29.05.2007, for which they will be solely responsible. If the information/documents submitted by the candidates meet the requirements of the Rule Book, their TACs will be placed on the website. Such candidates can download their TACs from the website and can appear in the examination at the allotted centres. In case, a candidate who appeared in the earlier test and lost his/her
TAC, he/she can also download the TAC from the website.                     

Eligibility: At the time of admission to the B.A.LL.B (Hons.) Course, the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent in any discipline with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all papers except additional papers.  The candidate must not have attained the age of 21 years as on July 1, 2007.

However for SC/ST and OBC candidates the minimum percentage of marks shall be 45% of the total marks except additional papers and must not have attained the age of 23 years as on July 1, 2007.

 

Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates will not be required to appear in the Entrance Test-2007. They must have passed the equivalent examination and have valid Visa for India. They will be admitted on the basis of merit and interview.

 

The admission test is normally held on the 3rd Sunday of May. The exact date will be released through the official admission notification. The level of questioning of the admission test is 10+2. The test will consist of questions covering English, analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, legal reasoning, legal aptitude and general knowledge.

By Post:- From VYAPAM office by submitting a request letter accompanied by an A/C payee Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque of Rs.1050/- (Unreserved/OBC category) & Rs. 650/- (SC/ST of M.P. only) drawn drawn in favour of Professional Examination Board, Bhopal drawn of any Nationalised Bank payable at Bhopal. The application form shall be sent to the candidate by registered post or speed post (where facility exists). Such request letter should reach VYAPAM Office on or before 13th April, 2007.

Application form duly completed must be sent by post or submitted in person at VYAPAM office, Bhopal so as to reach VYAPAM on or before 20th April 2007.

 

The Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates are required to send their application along with a fee of US$ 50.00 in appropriate form for admission directly to the Registrar, National Law Institute University, Bhopal, before June 15th 2007.
