Delhi Polytechnic CET 2017 for Admission to Diploma Courses & Certificate Courses in (WCSC) 

The Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Delhi has released the notification for Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) 2017. 
The Department of Training & Technical Education plans to admit students to first semester/ first year for the academic session 2017-18 for various Full-time Diploma Programmes (Engineering and non-Engineering) being offered at Institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Delhi, through the Common Entrance Test (CET- 2017). Controller of CET 2017, on behalf of Delhi Knowledge Development Foundation, under Dept. of Training & Technical Education shall conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET-2017) and shall announce the centers where the tests shall be held

Full-time Diploma Courses - Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teachers, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Applied Art, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics, Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Interior Design, Instrumentation & Control, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (Maintenance Engg) , Medical Laboratory Technology, Polymer Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Civil Engg. (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Textile Design and Tool & Die Making, Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M) 
Total No. of Seats for Diploma Courses is 4635 Seats 
Intake is restricted to 10% of intake in analogous disciplines and is over and above the sanctioned intake approved by the AICTE 
12th of (10+2) Vocational Engineering Stream/ITI pass outs from outside Delhi are not eligible for admission against the above seats

Only Indian Nationals/Sponsored candidates are eligible to seek admission 
Test-1 

For Engineering/Technology based Diploma Courses & Occupational Courses: 

For Diploma Courses in - Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teachers, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Applied Art, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics, Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Interior Design, Instrumentation & Control, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (Maintenance Engg) , Medical Laboratory Technology, Polymer Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Civil Engg. (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Textile Design and Tool & Die Making, Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M) 

Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 System or Matric or any other exam recognized as equivalent to 10th class exam, conducted by CBSE with minimum 35% aggregate in Science, Mathematics & English; the subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three 

Note: Candidates passing/qualifying class 10th under the grading system should have obtained minimum pass grade in the compulsory subjects i.e., Science, Mathematics and English; any other criteria as prescribed by CBSE in new pattern 

Test-2 

a) For Modern Office Practice (English) & 

b) For One-year Certificate Courses (Hospitality Operations, Retail Services & Finance Executive) in WCSC 

Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other exam recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of best three subjects including English 
The subject English is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (English) and the candidate should have obtained pass marks in this subject 

Test-3 

For Modern Office Practice (Hindi) 

Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other exam recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of best three subjects including Hindi/Sanskrit 
The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (Hindi) 

Test-4 

a) For Pharmacy 

b) For One-year Certificate Course (Soft ware Testing Assistant in WCSC) 

Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have passed the Senior School Certificate Exam (Class-XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other exam recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate exam of the CBSE with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & either Biology or Mathematics 
The subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology are compulsory and the candidate should have pass marks in these subjects without considering grace marks 

Candidates who have appeared/passed through NIOS shall not be considered for admission 

Test-5 
For admission of 10+2 Vocational Engg Stream pass outs /ITI pass outs against 10% supernumerary seats in analogous disciplines of Architectural Assistanship, Automobile Engg., Civil Engg., Civil Engg. (Construction Technology), Computer Engg., EEE & Communication Engg. (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engg (Medical Electronics), Mechnical Engg., Mechanical Engg., (Maintainance Engg), (Polymer Tech., Production Engg & Civil Engg), (Public Health & Environmental Engg), IT Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M) Tools & Die Making 

Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have passed analogous 12th Vocational (Engg) stream of CBSE or equivalent from Schools located only in Delhi with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of best five subjects for which marks are reflected in the mark sheet (or); Passed 10th class of CBSE or equivalent + 2 years ITI (Engg) from ITI s/ITCs 

The ITI s/ ITCs must be from Institutes located only in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects reflected in the mark sheet

*As per the eligibility criteria for admission in Diploma courses, the candidate should have the minimum eligibility criteria and pass the subjects with or without grace marks for all courses

Physical Fitness 

All the students shall be required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner (Annexure-III) at the time of admission 

How To Apply:

CET application form has to be filled online accessing the website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.infrom any internet access point. Screenshots of the form are as follows. Candidates will need to fill all the mandatory fields to apply online 

A copy of the Information Bulletin can be seen on and downloaded from the websitewww.tte.delhi.gov.in, www.cetdelhi.nic.in and www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in 

The Candidates seeking admission to the Diploma (Engineering /Non Engineering) courses have to apply online through the Website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in for Common Entrance Test (CET)-2017 

Non-Refundable application Fees of Rs.400/-plus Bank Charges and service tax of Rs.15/- bank charges + Rs.3/- (service tax) are to be deposited by the candidate through E-Challan/Net Banking/Debit (Facility of Payment through E-Challan is only in Branches of Corporation Bank in India) 

Before submitting the Online Application form and Fees candidate must refer the Information Bulletin available on website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in, check eligibility criteria, and schedule for the CET-2017 tests 

Issue of Online Admit Card 

Issue of online Admit Card: The exact information pertaining to issue of admit card shall be displayed on the website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in 

The registered candidates can download the admit card showing the roll no. and Centre details by logging onto the site www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in approximately one week before the date of CET- 2017 exam 

The candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates

Reservation 

Reservations applicable in respect of Government, Govt. aided and Government sponsored and private self-financing Institutions for the academic year 2017-18 shall be as per the policy of the Delhi Govt., at the commencement of admission / counselling 

Seats are Reserved for SC/ST & PH 

SC Category: 15% seats o f total sanctioned intake in each of Delhi and Outside Delhi quota in each cour se of each po lytechnic/Institute for fresh admission are reserved for candidates belonging to Schedu led Caste 

ST Category: 7.5% seats of total sanctioned intake in each of Delhi & outside Delhi quota in each Course of each Polytechnic/Institute for fresh admission are reserved for candidate belonging to ST 

OBC Category: 27% seats of total sanctioned intake in each of Delhi and outside Delhi quota in each cour se of each polytechnic/Institute for fresh admission are reserved for OBC candidates belonging to non-creamy layer 

Person with Disabilities: 3% seats of the sanctioned intake of each course in each polytechnic/ Institute in each of Delhi & outside Delhi quota 

Delhi Polytechnic CET 2017 Selection Process 

Candidate’s are selected through the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted in Delhi; based on the performance in this examination a merit list is prepared 
The final admission is made according to the order of merit and the preference given by the candidate in their application. Counselling of candidates is done at Delhi 
Centres of Common Entrance Test: Centres are of Delhi only

Test-2 (Modern Office Practice English): 27th May 2017 (02.00 PM to 04.30 PM) 

Test-3 (CBSE 10+2 (Academic)/Equivalent (Any Group) with Hindi/Sanskrit as a Subject: 27th May 2017 (10.00 AM to 12.30 PM) 

Test-4 (CBSE 10+2/Equivalent with PCM/PCB for Pharmacy & PCM for certificate course): 28th May 2017 (02.00 PM to 04.30 PM) 

Test-5 (10+2 (Vocational) or ITI Passed from Delhi School/Institutes only): 27th May 2017 (10.00 AM to 12.30 PM) 

Declaration of Result on the Website: 16th June 2017 at 04.00 PM
