Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. Interested Candidates can apply for the SBI PO Recruitment from the official website of State bank of India

Category Wise Vacancy Details 

i. Scheduled Cast (SC): 347 (three hundred forty seven) 
ii. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 350 (three hundred fifty only) 
iii. Other Backward Classes (OBC): 606 (six hundred six) 
iv. General Cast: 1010 (one hundred ten) 
Backlog vacancies detailed as under have been included in the above mentioned total vacancies 
SC - 47 Posts 
ST - 200 Posts 
OBC - 66 Posts 

Eligibility:

(a) Essential Academic Qualifications: (As on 01st Jul. 2017) 
Candidates should have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Govt. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation exam on or before 01st July 2017. 

Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01st July 2017. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply. 

Note: 

The date of passing eligibility exam will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. 

Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application; where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application. 

Age Limit (As on 01st April 2017) 

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01st April 2017, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02nd April 1987 and not later than 01st April 1996 (both days inclusive). 

Upper age relaxation 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD candidates. 

SBI PO 2017 Selection Procedure 

Phase-I (Preliminary Exam) 
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows. 
1. English Language - 30 no. of questions and 30 marks 
2. Quantitative Aptitude - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks 
3. Reasoning Ability - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks 
Composite Time of 01 Hour 

Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam. 

Phase-II (Main Exam) 

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Deive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Deive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Deive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Deive Test will be administered 

a) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 sections for total 200 marks; the Objective Test will have separate timing for every section 

i. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 45 no. of questions; 60 marks and 60 minutes 

ii. Data Analysis & Interpretation 35 no. of questions; 60 marks and 45 minutes 

iii. General/Economy/ Banking Awareness 40 no. of questions; 40 marks and 35 minutes 

iv. English Language 35 no. of questions; 40 marks and 40 minutes 

Total - 155 no. of questions; 200 marks and 3 hours 

b) Deive Test: The Deive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). Candidates are required to qualify in the Deive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank 

Phase-III (Group Discussion (20 Marks) and Interview (30 marks) 

Emoluments 

Presently, the starting basic pay is Rs.27620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of Rs.23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I 

Application Fee Details 

Candidates are required to pay online Applications Fee (Non-Refundable) Rs.600/- for General and OBC Candidates and Rs.100/- for reserved candidates. 

The Payment can be made by using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. 

Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates. 
How To Apply:

Candidates can apply online only from 07th February 2017 to 06th March 2017 and no other mode of application will be accepted. 

Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website www.sbi.co.in/careers or www.statebankofindia.com/careers 

Fill the rest of the details then Click on the Final Submit button and Pay the fee Online through Net Banking. 

Take the Print out of your Application form and e-receipt for future reference
