    About Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy:

    The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy (affiliated to University of Delhi) conducts a 4 ½  year Bachelor of Physiotherapy program (Inclusive of six month Internship).The curriculum has been developed keeping in mind an ever increasing knowledge base that is anchored in scientific evidence . Teaching at the Institute is problem-based and our highly qualified and clinically oriented faculty uses a variety of contemporary pedagogic strategies that include a judicious mix of didactic and laboratory based instructional technique.   



    In its overall mission to serve the health-care needs of the society the Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy has undertaken, as a first step, the education and training of Physiotherapy practitioners. The management and faculty of the Institute view physiotherapy as a profession, whose primary purpose is the promotion of human health and function through the application of scientific principles to prevent, identify, assess, correct or alleviate conditions that arise as a result of various pathologies and/or movement dysfunction.

    General/ Reserved Category
    To appear in the Entrance examination for admission to the Master of Physiotherapy, candidates should have fulfilled atleast ONE of the following conditions:
    a. Successful completion of an undergraduate physiotherapy degree (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT) from a recognized college/institute/university within India of not less than 4½ years duration (including 6 months of internship) with 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NC/Orthopedically Disabled) in their university exams. Candidates who have completed a 3½ years course from recognised college / institute / or university and an additional bridge course of one (1) year will be considered equivalent to 4 ½ years course.
    b. An undergraduate physiotherapy qualification (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT etc.) of 3 ½ years duration from a recognized college/institute/university plus at least ten (10) years of work experience.
    c. Registration with Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is mandatory
    Candidates who have applied for registration will have to :
    1) Provide a receipt issued by DCPTOT.
    2) Provide registration certificate at the time of Counselling.
    SC/ST/OBC - NC CANDIDATES:
    A Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Other Backward Class - Non Creamy layer candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate that establishes that he/she belongs to that particular category from a competent authority, as listed below along with the application form.
    Note: OBC-NC category candidate should have a valid OBC-NC certificate for the year 2022-23.
    The caste mentioned in the OBC-NC Certificate Should be mentioned in the central list of OBC-NC available at http:/ncbc.nc.in/backward classes/index.html
    In case, at the time of application, a candidate has applied for OBC-NC Certificate for the year 2022-23, he/she needs to submit OBC-NC Certificate of previous year along with a proof of application (receipt). It is mandatory to all the OBC-NC candidates to submit valid OBC-NC Certificate for the year 2022-23 at the time of counselling/within stipulated time given by the admission committee.

    How to apply:
    APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
    Application for admission can be made online on the University website. The candidate needs to register on www.pgadmission.uod.ac.in. Each application should be accompanied by documents listed in the instructions to candidate section.
    Online application:
    Application can be made online following the instructions given on the website with the requisite fees as follows:
    ·          INR 750/- for General/OBC-NC Candidate
    ·          INR 300/- for SC/ST/Orthopedically disabled candidate
    DATE OF ENTRANCE TEST:
    The entrance test is expected to be held in September 2022. The final date of Entrance Examination will be announced by NTA. No candidate will be admitted to the examination hall unless he/ she holds a valid admit card issued by the NTA.
    As stipulated by DUET 2022, the Answer Key will be released after the successful conclusion of the online examination. Candidate can download the Answer Key by using application form number and date of birth. The results will be declared on the official website of NTA. Candidates are requested to follow up their results and merit list that will be uploaded on the website for further admission process.
    NO INDIVIDUAL INTIMATION OF RESULT WILL BE SENT TO THE CANDIDATE.

    Eligibility:

    GENERAL / RESERVED CATEGORY (SCHEDULED CASTE - SC/ SCHEDULED TRIBE - ST/ OTHER BACKWARD CLASS NON CREAMY - OBC - NC / ORTHOPAEDICALLY HANDICAPPED - OH)

    (a) The candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (10+2 years)/ Indian School Certificate Examination of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination / Intermediate / Premedical Examination or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with 50% marks or more (45% marks or more for reserved category) in the aggregate of four subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English Core) as main subjects provided the student has passed each subject separately Candidate should be declared Overall passed on the mark sheet.

    (b) Age Criteria: The candidate should be minimum 17 years of age on 31 December 2021 in the year of admission.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SCHEDULED CASTE/ SCHEDULED TRIBE/ OTHER BACKWARD CLASS-NON CREAMY CANDIDATES A Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate to the effect that he/she belongs to that particular category from a competent authority, as listed below along with the application form. OBC-NC candidates should have OBC-NC Certificate, valid for 2021-22. The caste mentioned in the OBC Certificate should be mentioned in the central list of OBC available at http:/ncbc.nc.in/backwardclasses.inded.htm/
    In case, at the time of application, a candidate has applied for NC Certificate for the year 2021-22, he/she needs to submit NC Certificate of previous year along with a proof of application (receipt). It is mandatory to all the OBC-NC candidates to submit valid NC Certificate for the year 2021-22 at the time of counselling/within stipulated time given by the admission committee.

    Application for Admission:

    Application for admission under Gen/SC/ST/OBC-NC/OH Category will be made online on the University of Delhi website. The candidate needs to register on www.du.ac.in latest by August 31, 2021. Its mandatory that each application be accompanied by documents listed in the instructions to candidates section.

    The application under NRI sponsored category will be made on Institute website. For NRI candidates the last date for submission of application form will be open until filled.

    Application will be made online as per instructions given during online procedure.

    Fees as follows:

    ·          INR 750/- for General/OBC-NC/NRI Category

    ·          INR 300/- for SC/ST/OH candidates
