    IIT Gandhinagar offers 4-year BTech and MTechprogrammes in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Materials Science and Engineering.     Eligibility:
    The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the Work and Study M.Tech program is same as Regular M.Tech. The disciplines, however, may use additional criteria to shortlist the best candidates, which may be different from that for regular M.Tech program.

    Financial Support

    Eligible candidates admitted to Work and Study M.Tech. programme will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 18,000/pm-

    The written test (if any) is generally based on the topics related to general aptitude (logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, etc.), engineering mathematics, and basic courses in various disciplines up to 3rd year of undergraduate programme. The candidates who do not qualify in the written test need not appear for the interview. The reserved category candidates will be given due relaxation in cutoff marks as per the norms.

    Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic scenario, the interview and the written test (if any) may be conducted via online platforms.

    Travel Scholarships
    Institute encourages M.Tech. students to present their research work at national and international conferences, and provides travel scholarships of upto Rs. 60000/- to such students.

    Financial Support

    Eligible candidates admitted to MSc Cognitive Science program will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5,000/-. The stipend support will be renewed per semester subject to a student’s continued satisfactory progress in the program.

    Travel Scholarships

    Institute encourages MSc students to present their research work at national and international conferences, and provides travel scholarships of up to Rs. 60000/- to such students.

    Hostel Facility

    All students admitted to MSc Cognitive Science is eligible for hostel accommodation on a sharing basis.

    We envision the program to give students a critical ability to approach the world and its many challenges. Careers after the M.A. program could be related journalism, advertising/media, communications, writing, teaching, human resources, nonprofit (NGOs, policy think-tanks) and of course, higher studies in academia should you choose to pursue a Ph.D. Students will also have the option of taking the University Grants Commission Lectureship exams (N.ET/S.L.E.T) in the broad discipline that they choose to work for their M.A. thesis project. We believe that the options are endless and as with any other degree, employability is a combination of good academic record, motivation and positive approach.

    Notes:

    à      Candidates not having a valid GATE score or CSIR / UGC / NBHM / DBT award can be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme if they have minimum of 2 years of professional work experience (after passing qualifying degree), provided they fulfill other eligibility criteria fixed for department of his / her choice. However, such students are not entitling for any Teaching / Research Assistantship, etc.

    à      In addition to the above, candidates should also satisfy the eligibility criteria specified by the respective Department as mentioned in the Ph.D. brochure.

    à      Reservation for OBC/ SC / ST / PC (Physically Challenged) candidates as per Government of India rules.
