    Eligibility:

    The candidates fulfilling the following criteria are eligible to apply:


    ·          Candidates must have appeared in the CLAT 2021 Examination;


    ·          Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary Education i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination with forty-five percent (45%) or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved / OBC / PWD categories and forty percent (40%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Categories;


    ·          Candidate should be an Indian Citizen; and


    ·          The age of the candidate should not be more than 20 (twenty) years as on the date of application.

    Admission Procedure:


    The admission process for B.A. LL.B. (Honours in Adjudication and Justicing) will be conducted in two stages.

    ·          Passport Size Photograph;


    ·          CLAT 2021 Score Card;


    ·          Caste Certificate (For Candidates of Maharashtra Only);

    ·          Creamy Layer Certificate (If Applicable)


    ·          Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate (For Candidates of Maharashtra Only).


    Stage 2: Screening and Shortlisting


    CLAT Rank: From the total number of received applications, Three Hundred (300) applicants will be shortlisted based on the CLAT 2021 Rank at 1:5 Category wise ratio.


    Group Discussion (GD): The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Group Discussion (GD) and based on the performance in the Group Discussion, Candidates will be shortlisted to next level at 1:2 Category wise ratio.


    Psychometric Test and Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from Group Discussion shall appear for a Psychometric Test and will be interviewed by a selection panel including sitting Hon’ble Judges of High Court, Academicians and Psychologists.


    Application Fee: Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only) for Unreserved Candidates and Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) for Reserved Candidates. The application fee shall be paid through below mentioned SBI Collect link: https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm

    Eligibility:

    Eligibility for Admission

    (i)            To be admitted to the candidature for a Ph.D. Degree Programme an applicant shall have:

    (a) Obtained a Master’s Degree in law (regular mode) from any recognized University including a foreign University securing not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.

    or

    (b) Obtained a Master’s Degree (regular mode) in any discipline from a recognized University including a foreign University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.

    Provided that the candidate with qualifications in sciences, social sciences and humanities may pursue his / her research interfacing with public policy or law.

    Provided further that the candidate whose final result of the qualifying examination is awaited, for any reason, shall be allowed to appear provisionally in the admission test. Such candidate shall have to produce the final result of the qualifying examination at the time of the final presentation of his / her Ph.D. proposal.

    Provided further that the requirement of 55% marks or its equivalent at Master’s Degree is relaxed to 50% marks or its equivalent in case of candidate belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non- creamy layer) and Specially Abled Persons (SAP).

    or

    (c) A Judge who has served for minimum three years as a Judge of High Court in India or Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

    (d) The candidate who has passed the Company Secretary examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and has been awarded the Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) and having a Bachelor Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission to the programme. Provided that the research he / she wishes to pursue interfaces with a special focus on public policy or law.

    or

    (e) The candidate who has passed the Charted Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi and has been awarded Membership of the Institute and having a Bachelor Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission to the programme. Provided that the research he / she wishes to pursue interfaces with a special focus on public policy or law.

    (ii)           The Vice-Chancellor may permit a faculty member of the Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur to take up Ph.D. Degree Programme along with his / her teaching assignment in the interest of faculty development, provided that his / her teaching assignment(s) and other responsibilities do not hamper in any way and fulfills the eligibility conditions prescribed in these Regulations.

    Test Centre: The University has decided to conduct the All India Entrance Test (AIET) for Ph.D. Degree Programme 2019 at Nagpur only.

    The Application Form can be downloaded from the University website and the filled-in form should be sent along with a Demand Draft for Rs.2,000/- (for Indian Nationals) and Rs.4,000/- (for Foreign Nationals) drawn in favour of “Registrar, Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur ” payable at Nagpur. The duly filled-in application form must reach the Office of the Registrar on or before October 24, 2019 either by post or courier. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained.
