1. A candidate will be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Test for MDS Course if he/she
i) Is a citizen of
ii) Has passed BDS examination from any Dental College/Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India/Govt. of
iii) Has completed satisfactorily or is liable to complete one year compulsory rotating internship college’s rocognized by the Dental Council of India.
iv) Is registered with the State Dental Council/DCI at the time of admission.
v) Possesses a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended.
2. The candidate will have to submit the above-mentioned certificates, except the certificate at Sr. No. (iii) and (iv) above, in original at the time of counselling without which the admission shall not be granted. The certificates of completion of internship and registration at Sr. No. (iii) & (iv) mentioned above will have to be submitted 2015 positively, failing which their Provisional Admission will stand cancelled without any further notice.
3. A candidate who is already admitted to a course in any institution is eligible to apply for another course only after passing the first course. An undertaking to this effect will have to be submitted by the candidate. Concealment of facts would invite disqualification.
4. After commencement of the MDS Course, if a candidate having joined the course leaves it before completion of full period :
i) He/she will be debarred for next three years from applying for admission to any P.G. Course (Degree/Diploma) in the M.M. College of Dental Sciences & Research, Mullana (Ambala).
ii) He/She will have to execute a bond for payment of full fee of the MDS Course, at the time of admission and will be liable to pay the bond money in case he/she leaves before the completion of full period of the course.
5. General Information:
1. The cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form will not be refunded under any circumstances.
2. Any attempt on the part of a candidate, parents or relatives to canvass or bring influence to bear upon the Competent Authority, directly or indirectly, for securing admission will lead to disqualification.
3. The candidate is admitted on the basis of information submitted by him/her and if, at any subsequent stage, it is discovered that any portion of this information is incorrect, the student will be removed from the institution and all fees and other dues paid/liable to be paid up till the date of such removal shall be forfeited/ charged. Any further action as deemed suitable may also be taken by the University against such student.
4. The Application Form should be filled in carefully in block and legible letters and signed with full signatures by the candidate. All claims made in the application must be supported with documentary proof. Applications which are incomplete in respect of the required particulars or due to lack of essential documents will be rejected.
5. In case of any ambiguity in the rules, the interpretation by the Vice-Chancellor/Competent Authority of the University shall be final.
6. A candidate who violates the above conditions willfully or otherwise shall be liable to expulsion.

A candidate for admission to the Ph.D. programme must have obtained any of the following academic qualifications in the relevant discipline of research.
i) has passed MD/MS/PG Diploma/ M.Sc. Medical (3 years course- Faculty of Medical Sciences) in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology from the Colleges/Institutes recognized by the Regulating Body provided that the candidate with M.Sc. (Medical) of 3-years course must have passed the same with atleast 60% marks.
ii) has been awarded fellow ship by the UGC/NCERT/ ICMR/ NET/ DBT or any other national scholarship awarding agency with educational qualifications as in 3.1 (i) above with atleast 55% marks.
iii) has been working as a permanent teaching faculty in any recognized University/ Institution or as a researcher in National/ State level Institute/ Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory for the last atleast three years with educational qualifications as in 3.1 (i) above with at least 55% marks.
iv) in the case of NRI/ Foreign candidates, they are required to have passed in the qualifying examinations of MD/MS/P.G. Diploma in the relevant subjects. The Candidates of M.Sc. (Medical) are required atleast 55% marks in the qualifying examination. However, the candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from any foreign University, will have to submit equivalence certificates from the Association if Indian Universties (AIU),
Admission Criteria:
On the basis of the Entrance Test followed by interview. Foreign candidates will not be required to appear in the entrance test, conditions applicable.

The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Science subjects viz Physics, Chemistry & Biology from any recognized Board/ University. The candidates should be 17 years of age at the time of admission or within three months of it and should be medically fit.
Admission Criteria: The admission to this course will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination.
The admission form can be obtained from the administrative office of the respective university/institute on a payment of Rs. 750/- those who want the admission form by post, should send DD of Rs. 800/- in favour of the concerned university/institute. The admission form can also be downloaded from the website of the concerned university/institute. However such candidates will have to enclose a DD of Rs. 750/- with the downloaded admission form.
Important Instructions for filling up the Admission form:-
1. The Admission Form for admission to the course, duly completed in all respects, must be accompanied with the following documents:
(a) A Recent Passport size photograph should be pasted at the space provided on the Admission Form with two additional copies to be appended with the Admission Form.
(b) Attested copies of Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate or a Certificate of its equivalent examination showing the candidate's date of birth.
(c) Attested copies of having passed/appearing in qualifying examination duly attested by the Principal of the School / College/institution last attended.
(d) Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal/social behaviourial pattern of the applicant issued by the School/College/institution last attended by the candidate.
(e) Certificate of SC/ST/OBC/PH/ESM for statistical information or for getting the benefit of relaxation in age or marks in the qualifying examination or for reservation of seat at MMU Solan and MMU Sadopur - Ambala, wherever applicable.
(f) Original Migration Certificate from the Board/University last attended (to be submitted at the time of admission or within 15 days from the date of admission].
(g) The candidate must mention his/her and their Parent's Phone/Mob. No. and e-mail address at the space provided in the Admission Form. Any change in the contact number / e-mail address must be intimated to the Admission Office.
(h) Certificate of Himachali for claiming seat under reserved category for Himachali's at MMU Solan.
(i) Certificate of Haryana resident for claiming seat under reserved category for Haryana resident at MMU Sadopur - Ambala.
Note: The candidate should intimate, on the proforma enclosed, the result of the qualifying examination and the result of AIEEE/MAT/GATE Score (in the case of admission to B.Tech/ MBA/ M.Tech.Course respectively) immediately on its declaration, if not already submitted.

The candidate will have to submit the above-mentioned certificates in original at the time of counselling without which the admission shall not be granted, except the certificate of completion of internship and registration at Sr. No. (iii) & (iv) mentioned above which will have to be submitted by 20.5.2011 positively, failing which their Provisional Admission will stand cancelled without any further notice.
3. A candidate who is already admitted to a course in any institution is eligible to apply for another course only after passing the first course. An undertaking to this effect will have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission. Concealment of facts would invite disqualification.
4. After commencement of the PG Courses(Degree/Diploma), if a candidate having joined the course leaves it before the completion of full period :
i) he/she will be debarred for next three years from applying for admission to any P.G. Course (Degree/Diploma) in the M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Mullana-Ambala ; and
ii) He/she will have to execute a Bond for payment of full fee of PG Diploma Courses, at the time of admission and will be liable to pay the bond money in case he leaves before the completion of full period of the course.
5. Candidates already in service must submit their Application Form through their employer or produce 'No Objection Certificate', from their employer on or before the last date fixed for receipt of Application Forms.
The Application Form duly completed in candidate's own handwriting, should reach the Admission Office, Administrative Block,
Application Form or Form received after the closing date/time will not be considered. The Competent Authority takes no responsibility for any postal delay in the receipt or loss of Application Form or any document/correspondence in transit. No intimation with regard to rejection of the candidature on account of late receipt of Application Form will be sent to such candidates.

2. Any attempt on the part of candidate, parents or relatives to canvass or bring influence to bear upon the Competent Authority, directly or indirectly, for securing admission will lead to disqualification.
3. The candidate is admitted on the basis of information submitted by him/her and if, at any subsequent stage, it is discovered that any portion of this information is incorrect, the student will be expelled from the institution and all fees and other dues paid/liable to be paid upto the date of such removal shall be forfeited/charged. Any further action as deemed suitable may also be taken by the University against such student.
4. The Application Form should be filled in carefully in block and legible letters and signed by the candidate. All claims made in the Application Form must be supported with documentary proof. Application Forms which are incomplete in respect of the required particulars or due to lack of essential documents will be rejected.
5. In case of any ambiguity in the rules, the interpretation given by the Vice- Chancellor/Competent Authority of the University shall be final.
