  • About School of Aviation Science and Technology (SAST):

    Delhi Flying Club was established in May 1928 with the aim of training young men & women as aviators in India. Since then it has had the distinction of training hundreds of Pilots & Engineers: prominent amongst the alumni being Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India and Late Shri Biju Patnaik, Former Chief Minister of Orissa. Delhi Flying Club initiated the first air mail service of the country and also is accredited with the training of Airforce Pilots in the 60s and the Naval Pilots in the 80s. It also participated in both the wars with Pakistan i.e. 1965, 1971. Currently the club runs an AME School whose alumni occupy very prominent positions in the Airlines across the globe and also undertakes the ground classes for Pilot’s Licenses like PPL, CPL & ATPL. The club undertakes maintenance of VIP aircraft of State Governments of Haryana. It has duly approved Engine shop where overhauls of Lycoming and Continental Engines are undertaken. It also has an Instrument Workshop for undertaking bench checks of Instrument & an approved NDT shop. Read more…

  • Course Name: Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Certificate BAMEC
    Course Description: Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Certificate (BAMEC) [Minimum 3 years (which may be extended by 6 months or so depending upon the performance of the students) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Certificate Training Programme duly approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, for appearing in ‘Mechanical’ and ‘Avionics’ stream. The students have to pass each semester examinations with 70% marks and 80% attendance in each semester before appearing for DGCA AME licence exam.]

    Eligibility:

    Passed 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks each in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & English and 55% marks in the aggregate in these aforesaid subjects, 60% and above preferred or 3 years State Govt. Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical with 60% marks, higher percentage preferred or B.Sc (Pass) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having obtained 55% marks in their Graduation.

    Age Limit: Up to 20 years for 10+2, 22 years for B.Sc and Diploma holder as on 01-07-2010. However, in exceptional case slight relaxation in age may be considered.


    How to apply:

    Typed/handwritten application on plain paper, giving complete bio-data along with one passport size colored photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer / Principal, date of birth certificate, qualification certificate (10+2 mark sheet) and a demand draft for Rs. 800/- (non-refundable) payable to ‘The Delhi Flying Club Ltd., New Delhi’ must reach the Director(Trg), Eligible candidate to report for entrance test covering objective questions of 10+2 standard (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) and essay in English in the school premises. Final year students must submit the result. Please note that the candidates shall not be intimated individually for test.
